Clefton Disability Law specializes in protecting your right to use a service dog in public places.
Too often, businesses exclude service dogs, even after a handler has identified the service dog as one and told the business their dog is not a pet. This is an all-too-common experience that must be stopped. Clefton Disability Law can help. If disabled persons with service dogs don’t take legal action, the businesses violating the law will not change their behavior.
If you have been denied entry into a public place because you rely on a service dog, or you have been forced to separate from your service dog to use a public place, you may be entitled to compensation.
We are responsible for creating new service dog policies at several major facilities, including hospitals such as Stanford Hospital, UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital, and El Camino Hospital. We have also been responsible for national policy and training changes to a security guard firm, and policy and training changes at restaurants, bakeries, bars, and car towing companies.
We fight for your right to have your dog go wherever you go.
